CEFC has grown from an average attendance of about 50 the first year to about 300 today, with a membership of about 100 and a total church family of about 500.

The congregation is not just from Platteville. About a third comes from communities out to a 30 mile radius. Additionally, during the academic school year another 10% of the congregation is made up of college students from all over Wisconsin.

The congregation is a dynamic mix of long term and temporary residents. The Platteville area is one of the earliest settled areas in Wisconsin, with much stability, while the university population tends to be quite fluid. Attendees at CEFC include a mix of professionals and non-professionals with many gifts, talents, leadership, and other abilities. The congregation at CEFC is a relatively young congregation, meaning lots of children, youth, and young couples. In starting a young couples small group, the organizers counted over 30 twenty-something couples.
